Meet Your Sunnyvale Dentist, Dr. William Langston
Dr. Langston grew up in East Texas before attending Stephen F. Austin State University. During his junior year of college, he was accepted to Baylor College of Dentistry. After graduation in 1974, Dr. Langston began private practice and has lived in the Dallas area to this date.
After five years of traditional dental practice, Dr. Langston became frustrated with the standard of orthodontic care. Treatment at that time involved removal of teeth and the use of headgear. He began studying an orthopedic philosophy originated in Europe. This treatment involved expanding the jaws and the decompression of the jaw joints. This led to education under Brendan Stack and others in the American Academy of Craniofacial Pain involving the treatment of TMJ disorders. This journey led to studies in various treatments of chronic pain, including osteopathic and chiropractic manipulation, nutritional support, neural therapy, and biocompatible dentistry.
Dr. Langston studied under Dr. Bill Wolfe, a dentist and naturopath, and works with a number of practitioners in the area of biocompatible dentistry.
Dr. Langston’s approach to dental care is influenced by all of these areas.
Dr. Langston is a Fellow of the American Academy of Craniofacial Pain and a Diplomate in the American Academy of Pain Management.
Dr. Langston lives on two acres near Denton, Texas. His daughter, Skyla is a registered nurse, and has a daughter named Zoe.
