Tooth Extractions

Common Reasons for Tooth Extraction

  • Decay: A tooth can become so decayed that the remaining enamel is not able to support a crown or filling.
  • Trauma: If a crack or break goes below the gum line, then the tooth may not have enough strength to be restored.
  • Tooth Replacement: Before replacing any missing teeth, Dr. Langston will recommend removing any failing teeth first so the mouth is as healthy as possible. This will increase the chance of success for the restoration process.
